The Project

The application of Nullifire SC804 is ensuring that eye-catching steelwork, which sets a contemporary scene in a prestigious London building, has the reassurance of premium fire protection.

One Portsoken Street, located in the heart of Aldgate, has recently undergone extensive refurbishment to create a dynamic environment, comprising of more than 230,000 square feet of office space and tenant amenities including a ground floor café and terraces on the upper floors.

As part of the refurbishment project, Nullifire SC804 intumescent coating has been specified to ensure that the internal steelwork, which creates a striking sense of space within the building, achieves 120 minutes fire protection.

Nullifier SC804 Intumescent Basecoat is a water-based, white, thin film intumescent coating for the protection of internal structural steelwork to C1 and C2 environments.

It gives optimised loadings for 90 minutes, and up to 120 minutes fire resistance - and can be top coated with a suitable product for decorative and durability purposes.

More than 20,000 square metres of the high-performance coating have been applied, in a 13-month long project carried out by the specialist contractor Castle Hill Fire Protection.
